Have you seen the new 6″ x 6″ Brick Wall Textured Embossing Folder? What a fun folder. Did you see that I said it’s 6″ x 6″ rather than the traditional 4-1/2″ x 6-3/8″ ? I think it’s going to be a lovely addition to the Textured Embossing Folders line. And I don’t think I’ll find myself up against a ‘brick wall’ when trying to use it.
There was a challenge on the Sudsol demonstrator only email list that I belong to to use this new embossing folder and this is my contribution.
I’ve decided to combine it with a little bit of Big Shot and one of my favorite stamp sets, Thoughts & Prayers.
This is a very clean and simple card. I had to sit on my hands to let it stay that way!
The Whisper White cards stock is cut to 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″. Using the 4th from the smallest Ovals Collection Framelit and the Big Shot, I cut out the oval. Then I ran the card stock through the Big Shot again using the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. You can place the embossed image with the “cement” oozing out, or, flip it over and have the bricks nice and tidily trimmed up.
I rubbed the front of the Raspberry Ripple card stock with the Embossing Buddy and then stamped the image using White Craft ink. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder, shake off the excess and heat set. Stamp only the ‘Thinking of You” portion of the other stamp in the set and follow the same stamping, sprinkling and heating routine. Then lay the Whisper White brick layer into position and you’re done.
I’m glad you stopped in today to see my simple Brick Wall card. Try one yourself, you’ll like it!

Do you have any idea if cats can smell a fresh and clean place to lay down? Or a place where someone wants to work? My cat came and plopped himself down right after I’d finished my clean up.
