“Window Shopping” Birthday Candle Hexagonal Box

Warning.  These boxes can be addictive.  I made four on Monday afternoon while I was exploring the possibilities of what I could do with the boxes.  I had to force myself to stop for awhile.

I needed a birthday box so played around until I came up with this finished project:

Happy Birthday Window Box Thinlits Box (142762)

I had some fun coloring the paper I placed behind the die cut candles.  I scribbled, diagonally, with our new Watercolor Pencils on a 1-3/4″ times 3 piece of Whisper White card stock.

Then I semi-carefully swiped the watercolor scribbles with the my Aqua Painter.  The colors muddied up a bit here and there but in the long run it didn’t really matter.

I cut the rectangular piece into three 1-3/4″ square segments and then attached them behind the candles.
