Without my own computer right now, I’m finding myself with more time to actually ‘play’.  There’s always an upside to an icky situation (no familiar laptop until Friday probably–it’s in the shop).  Everyone will think you’ve spent hours making this decoration but actually it took me less than two hours from start to finish.

The kit includes
* Instructions
* 13-inch circle chipboard base
* Paper cone
* Designer Series Paper strips and labels
* Very Vanilla die-cut labels
* Die-cut leaves in Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon, and Tangelo Twist
* Printed circles and banners
* Kraft die-cut images
* Burlap Ribbon
* Linen Thread
* Black rhinestones
* Spider Web Doilies
* Bell
* Sponge
* 5-inch foam ball (half)

The only items that don’t come in the Project Kit are a Soft Suede Stamp Pad, Tear & Tape Adhesive, Multipurpose Glue, Bone Folder and Paper Snips.  You’ll probably also want the Witches’ Night Stamp Set.  If you aren’t interested in purchasing the stamp set, gather a few friends, each with their own Witches’ Décor Project kit (ordered through me of course) and invite me over, or make a date in My Country Loft, along with my tools and we’ll sit and create together.  What fun would that be!?

I definitely recommend viewing the Stampin’ Up! video before starting your Kit–Brandy’s tips are so helpful.

The little details in this kit are fun.  I love the little ‘rusty’ bell atop the hat.  The leaves are a bit tedious because there are lots of them!  Stamp.  Wrinkle into a ball.  Open and sponge with Soft Suede ink.  String along a piece of linen thread.  And then voila!  Lay along the brim of the hat.  And an extra bonus:  you’ll have labels, leaves and rhinestones left to enhance cards or other imaginative items after you’ve finished.

I really hope you decide to make this sort of spooky Halloween table top decoration.  It’s cute.  It’s sturdy.  And it’s charming–if a witch’s hat can be ‘charming’.  Gather some friends and go for it.
