Thank you for stopping in today. I’m actually writing from the Victorian, funky, boutique Nob Hill Hotel in San Francisco today. SF is my husband’s favorite get away spot, world famous and it’s just 150 miles from home for us. We love to stay in this hotel which we discovered about 10 years ago. It’s out of the tourist area, in one of the neighborhoods and across the street from a hospital! Today is Russ’s 70th birthday, he has a miserable cough that’s on the wane and gout in his big right toe! He can be miserable at home or miserable here and since the plans have been made for a long time, I opted for here. It’s working for the best. We traveled here via BART (rapid transit) and took Uber from the train station to the hotel. Wow! Great first time experience with Larry and his oh-so-clean Nissan. There’s no need for a car in this city of buses, cable cars and Uber!
