After quite a few attempts — with scratch paper — I managed to make envelopes that would fit the three cards I just completed for my neighbor.
The largest 4″ x anything” on the Envelope Punch Board is 4″ x 8-1/2″ and my requirement was 4″ x 9″. After some thinking and lots of trial and error I settled on a 10-1/4″ x 10-1/4″ piece of Envelope Paper (2015-2017 In Color) and made my first punch and score line at 3-1/4″.
You have to be very careful with the scoring on the long side of the paper. The result was a perfect fit. I did have to seriously trim some paper from the flap that comes up from the bottom of the envelope as well as the final flap that closes the envelope. I also attached a strip of Tear & Tape to the closing flap of the envelope for sealing once the gift certificate was placed inside the card.
Here are my finished projects:
Now I’m ready to move on to some fun projects using product from the upcoming 2017 Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration brochure. Do let me know if you don’t have a demonstrator, blythe@stampingwithblythe.com , and I’ll gladly send you these publications.
