Let’s Do Some Project Life for December 2016

Project Life, if you aren’t familiar with it yet, is a very easy way to do some memory keeping.  It’s an easy way to organize your photos into albums with only a few basic supplies.

Here’s a perfect project for you:

In the Holiday 2016, pgs 30 and 31, the Hello December 2016 Project Life Card Collection and Hello December Project Life Accessory Pack are featured.

When we (yes you and me I hope) create this album, we’ll be capturing some of our favorite December moments.  Just take a photo or two or three each day in  December.  This could be activities you’re involved in like writing letters to Santa, events you attend, or event traditions you and your family enjoy, like baking cookies, going Christmas caroling or making your own Christmas cards!

Prior to December (like almost n-o-w) you prepare your album.  That way, as the month of December unfolds, all you have to do is add photos and do some journaling each day.  At the end of the month you’ll have a completed album you can look back on for many years to come, complete with smiles and memories.

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Once you have these pages in your album you can start inserting your cards.

There are quite a few layout pages that have 12 two inch square pockets.  Take these 7 cards and cut them as described below.  FYI:  I waited until I actually needed the 1-15/16″ cards to insert in my pockets just to be sure they were the right ones.  You can call me “Coward”.  🙂

7 cards from the 2016 PL Card Collection
Cut two pieces at 1-15/16″ with a left over strip.

2 pieces at 1-15/16" with leftover rectangle

Also cut a bunch of 1-15/16″ square pieces from Real Red, Emerald Envy and Whisper White cardstocks.  Cut more as you need them.

Now it’s time to check out these layouts. I’ve put them on a separate page since there are so many (like 25) photos!

Once you have your photos ready to insert, you might want to move some of these cards around, but this is a great way to get yourself ready to go.  It took me about an hour to place all of the pieces.  If you’re curious, I found this great Stampin’ Up! video for getting started with my pages.

The first time I did a December Project Life album was in 2014 and it took me quite a while to place my cards.  This time I followed Stampin’ Up!’s layout suggestions and I’m sure that as I print my December photos, it will be so much easier and far less ‘painful’ to place my either or both my photos and my cards.  I do have five leftover photo pocket pages which I’m sure I’ll have no problem filling in with extra photos and cards.

Who will accept my challenge to create a December 2016 Project Life memory album along with me?

Simply take a photo or two every day in December and then add it (or them) along with some journaling to your prepared pages and you’ll be (almost) d-o-n-e on January 1st, 2017.  Won’t that be an awesome, amazing feeling!?

You can order your album, card collection and accessory packs and photo pocket pages in my online store here.  Or call me and I’ll place your order for you.  I know you’ll be so pleased with your results!
