Why Stampin’ Up!’s Note Cards are So Darned Handy!

We live in a community that is comprised of at least 60% part-time, seasonal home owners.  We’re definitely in the minority of full time residents and I wouldn’t live anywhere else.  No traffic lights, a few stop signs and one 4-way stop intersection.  My hubby and I were invited over to the home of our across-the-road part-time neighbors for homemade boysenberry and peach pies and homemade ice cream Sunday night of the 4th of July long weekend.  Also invited were our next door part-time neighbors and their house guests.  I wanted to take a quick, easy and awesome hand stamped gift for each of the gals (or guys) and thought about our Note Cards & Envelopes.   No cutting of card stock.  No “gotta have” layers.

I kept my cards fairly monochromatic:  I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set, with the basic colors being Mint Macaron with Tip Top Taupe accents.  It was quick and easy, like half an hour, to get the stamping for 20 cards done.  But then I decided to die cut some Butterfly Thinlits butterflies and attach them.  That took about 45 minutes since I cut 40 butterflies.  I also stamped the inside of the card with the diagonally striped image from the same stamp set.
