WOODLAND EMBOSSED AUTUMN THANK YOU CARD

This card is just lovely for a Thanksgiving dinner thank you or, really, just any autumn thank you.  You can also swap out ‘thank you’ for any greeting that will fit in the center of the wreath.

There’s lots of interest on this card:

  • the embossed trees on the front flap
  • the dimension and colors of the wreath
  • the interesting front fold

Knowing the supplies ahead of time is always a big help so here they are.

CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Soft Suede:  8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ and 2-1/8″ with the front fold being a ‘mountain’ fold; i.e. the front of the card is folded back on itself.
  • Very Vanilla:  5-1/4″ x 4″ and 4″ scrap for die cutting the stamped wreath and bow

 

TIPS:

  • You can dry emboss only the folded back front flap or the full card front.
  • Place the 3rd smallest circle from the Circles Collection Framelits in the center of the card front about 1-1/4″ from the top.
  • Apply Fast Fuse or Snail Adhesive to the part of the colored in wreath that will set on folded back flap.
  • Attach bow with Mini Glue Dot.
  • Attach Very Vanilla layer to the inside of the card.
  • Stamp greeting, using Soft Suede ink, through the center of the wreath for perfect placement.

Today is the last day of Stampin’ Up!’s On Stage event.  One more afternoon of seeing this beautiful town of Brussels, a final yummy dinner with my roommate, Terri and perhaps a few other friends, and I’ll be waving bye-bye.  Tomorrow (I do get another Belgian breakfast) I’ll be heading out on the ICE train for a six hour ride to Kiel where I’ll be picked up by my German ‘son’.  Stephan was our exchange student in 1989-90, graduated from Westmont High School in Campbell CA with my son, and has never left our hearts.  We’ve seen him several time over the intervening years but now I’m anxious to meet the three little kindern that he’s fathered!  Oh how time flies.  Be sure to check my FaceBook page for a few travel log photos.
