When I was in Boise in mid-January I went along with my daughter, granddaughter and her friend on her birthday ‘shopping spree’. We were in a place called ‘something’ Green or Green ‘something, that was full of some fun, bizarre and interesting things from candles to cards to hanging artwork.
This picture struck me by its simplicity in black and white. And it’s similarity to the beautiful Winter Woods clear mount stamp set. I knew I wanted to create some winter woods thank you cards based on this piece of artwork.
I’ve been wanting to create a card ever since I got home. Saturday was finally the day!

I also stamped the envelopes to coordinate.
I have to say that these Winter Woods thank you cards are some of the simplest and most striking cards I’ve made for a long time. I’ve always liked black and white but don’t seem to create with it very often. These cards will be going back to Boise — Eagle actually — to a friend who requested some of my hand made, hand stamped thank you cards. I pretty sure she’ll appreciate these.
