After four days of working hard in my house (30 square feet of linoleum out, hard wood flooring in), I looked forward to being out in my stampin’ studio today. I didn’t really stamp but I did do a good job of shuffling things around! And I got my 2014-2016 colors moved out of their cozy homes and put the 2016-2018 in their place. It’s hard to know when to pull out the retiring and replace it with the almost current. Since I’m keeping the retiring colors in a little plastic container, they’ll be nearby so I made the big moves today.
I keep my Classic Stampin’ Pads and Ink Refills in Stampin’ Up!’s Color Caddy. I place an old Tupperware rotating tray under it for easier turning. I’ve used this set up ever since SU! came out with the Caddy. I love the small footprint. When I’m working on a project I can bring it over to my table and otherwise it’s just out of my way atop one of my little cabinets.
I keep my In Color Ink Refills in an old Stampin’ Up! storage box that once upon a time held alphabet letters in its grooves. (Does anyone remember those days and stamp sets, including the Chore Chart pieces?)
The other thing I did on Sunday was to finally take my remaining wood mounted stamp sets that were still in the old-style Stampin’ Up! boxes and put them in the new style Wide Storage Cases. Now they don’t stick out on the neat and tidy rows of stamp sets.
It was a good day getting some piddly things done that will feel good tomorrow when I go out into my room and see one random box of ‘stuff’ emptied. I’m definitely on a roll of cleaning up and organizing.
